In an unsurprising surprise-announcement, Valve have announced that the fantastic BioShock will be available via Steam on August 21 (Tuesday coming). Go to Steamgames.com to pre-order (and pre-install) what is probably the game of the year. Here's the press-release;

"Valve today announced that BioShock, the highly-anticipated and award-winning first-person shooter by 2K Games is available for pre-purchase now via SteamR. Starting today, gamers can pre-order BioShock on Steam (Steamgames.com) for $49.95, and begin playing the moment the game is made available."

Great stuff if you're into all this electronic-distribution jazz. I prefer to have the old-fashioned physical disc in a box. But there you are. The option is there if you want it
