PS3 hacked... almost.

A TIFF exploit has been found which allows booting of backup Blu-Ray disks and PS1 games using a simple TIFF file on a memory stick.

Below is a video of the exploit being used:



It will certainly be interesting to see if this can be further developed to play backup PS2/PS3 games and to see how quick Sony will try to patch this exploit.

Seems a bit like that one you can do on Wii. The thing where you swap the discs round quick-smart, and it lets you play imports (though not copies, I don't think).


What is life? But a small victory over what eventually kills you anyway?
