Newly formed PlatinumGames (Formerly Seeds), made up of ex-Clover staff such as Shinji Mikami (Resident Evil) and Atsushi Inaba (Viewtiful Joe) have announced a four game deal with SEGA across various platforms, one of which is still a complete mystery.
The first title, Bayonetta, will be an action game in the vein of Devil May Cry, for the 360 and PS3. The game will follow a recently reborn witch as she battles angels with various witch-like powers and an array of guns attached to both hands and feet.
The second, Infinite Line, is a space RPG for the DS which will centre around the main character's journey to become captain of a spaceship. The game will feature a ship-builder with over a hundred different possible designs, and the story will take place across two vast galaxies.
The third, MadWorld, is an 'ultra violent' Wii action game being directed by Shinji Mikami. Madworld will be almost entirely black and white, with blood being (obviously) bright red. PlatinumGames assured that they aren't aiming to create a disturbing or perversely violent game, but rather one that focuses on comical violence. All in good fun then.
The last game is so far untitled, and all that's currently known is that it will be directed by Shinji Mikami. No release date has been announced for any of the games yet, so for now just take a look at the short teaser trailers for Bayonetta and MadWorld:
