A demo of Bizarre and Sega's The Club is now available for PS3 and 360. Interestingly, only in Europe (excluding Germany) and Australia for now. It's been on PS3 for a couple of weeks already.

The Club is a 3rd person shooter based on memorising linear stages and completing them as quickly and as stylishly as possible. The demo showcases one such stage, set in a prison full of nasty men. As well as online, there is support for 4-player split screen - something that is a rarity on 360 and PS3.

The game is also coming out on PC, and based on recent trends that demo will be released later.

Well this is pretty good fun. I doubt it will last long though and I hate the humourlessness of it all. It clearly isn't trying to be funny, when it really should be.

I did go back for 3 more goes to improve my score, so they're doing something right.

3 more? Same here... Guess it really is a magic number

I really like it. It's impossible to see the enemies until they're right in your face, and the auto-aim drags the crosshair towards enemies' bodies when you're trying to aim at their heads, but I like it.

Also, I swear the demo said it had 6 unique multiplayer modes for Xbox Live at the end... Maybe I didn't read it properly. Definitely said something about Live.

And I need better internets. Hour and a half for a demo is silly ;-;

You're right. I'm sure I read somewhere that it was offline only, should have checked.

Megadanxzero @ January 8, 2008, 8:49 pm
I'm pretty sure I did too... In fact I'm pretty sure the people from Bizarre said it didn't have online when we saw them talk about The Club at GameCity. Apparently not though

Also, Mint Clubs FTW. Unfortunately you've now reminded me about them, and I haven't seen any in YEARS ;-;

Evidently you don't remember it well. They said there was multiplayer (the button was even there) but they couldn't unveil it at the time.
