I heard he made a good speech at his coronation. Don't think it was a good idea electing him though tbh, leafy, sleepy Henley's hardly preparation for London. His charming bumbling, gaffe-prone manner will cease to be so charming in two months time, imvho.

I've always thought people were a bit too eager to laugh at him. When I was doing AS Politics we went to an event where he did a speech. He talked about how the EU interferes with agriculture with ridiculous red tape regulations. One of the examples was something about dealing with dead sheep. There was nothing absurd about it at all, it happened to be mildly light-hearted. But all anyone was saying afterwards was LOLOLOLOLOLOL HE TALKED ABOUT SHEEP and complete bellends running up to him for autographs.

He honestly seems a lot more down to earth than a lot of politicians.

You wouldn't want him as Prime Minister in THE WAR ROOM, but come on, Mayer of London...

I was horrified that he got in. His plans to scrap bendy-buses and replace them with new Routemasters is ludicrous, and his plans to scrap the congestion charge zone is just wrong. I like his frankness and willingness to dispense with the BS but there could be some dark and costly times ahead.

Don't think he wants to scrap the congestion charge, just the £25 charge for cars over 225 horsepower. And, I guess, reviewing the westward expansion, but in my opinion that makes complete sense- there was not a significant congestion problem in Kensington & Chelsea, and all the rich professionals who work in the centre and live in chelsea can now drive in for free because they already live in the zone.
