Post anything unworthy of it's own thread.

Saw someone steal something from Tesco's yesterday while his mate distracted the security guard. Said nothing. I'm not gonna get glassed over chocolate.

I'm pretty sure I saw someone steal something in Tescos today, not sure enough to make a scene though.

It was a fat old lady who out of the corner of my eye did a motion that can only be stuffing something up your jumper.

Some slimy cunt has been harrassing my mother tonight. Every so often he accuses her of sleeping around and threatens to come over. Love to meld his face with the pavement, i've no idea how big he is though, but was prepared to be all uber macho if he'd come to the door.

I was gonna have mashed potato tonight, but upon inspecting the potatoes in my cupboard I found that many of them had 4 inch long roots growing out of them, and some of them had gone black in places

I ended up throwing them away instead...

Moving up to Brisbane tomorrow, start my apprenticeship on Monday.

Sweet.

And fate is setting up the chessboard while death rolls out the dice. Anyone for tennis, wouldn't that be nice?

I hate my job. I can't keep up at college. I don't wanna go back, but apparently I have to for my future. In other words, my brother wants free studio time. I'm drifting away from my mates. One of them's joining the army. I hate growing up. And throwing up too. I hate the friend zone. I also hate suits. The stereotype and the clothes. Both are too damn restricting. I've also recently realised how much of a geek I've become. I'm always on the fucking internet. I'm always writing for this game that's progressing slowly. And the thing I'm looking forward to most right now, besides The Dark Knight, is a damn delivery of Batman comics. I wish I did most of this shit as a kid, I'd have grown out of it. Instead I tried being mature when I was younger, and now I'm being more immature the older I get. I also hate March. My birthday was on the second. Bloody Mother's Day too.. And I've just realised I might be depressed again. Shit. I'm gonna have to buy a testicle inflater.

You know.. a bigger set of balls. And yeah, I've seen Office Space. It made me quit my job. I just didn't go back. 'Twas a big mistake.

I don't remember having a childhood... I'm pretty sure I never heard a 'swear word' until Year 7. And then Secondary school corrupted me and I got a life. Well... I say got a life... More of a life than before, but I'm still a complete loser. Woo! X3

There have always been different types. The ones that Microsoft use for the games they publish are the best (MARAY ones). Some others use them too, but a lot of third party publishers use shitty ones that feel really flimsy, don't have the little bit in the middle of the anti-spine (I have no idea what you call the side it opens on...) that helps you open it, and have a rubbish pressy-in bit to pop the disk out that doesn't work very well. The little clasps that hold the box closed feel a bit dodgy in comparison too, I think...

Kind of strange though... D3 (Publisher of EDF) used the really nice MARAY ones and SEGA used the crappy cheap ones for The Club. The Oblivion case is the worst though... Uses this Carthuplas Flexbox box which I'd previously only seen used for PC games, which often required more than 1 disk. You literally have to bend the disk to pull it off the little knob in the middle. It's painful to do...

Thankfully all Wii games use the good boxes (As far as I know), but as far as I can tell they're not actually the same MARAY ones, they're just almost the exact same design. The Wii ones have a little thing showing you how to push the button that pops the disk out though for some reason, as if you couldn't guess. The only thing I don't like about the Wii ones is that they don't see to hold the disks quite as tightly as the 360 ones, so they spin or rattle a bit more when you move them. Not too big a problem though. The one thing that does annoy me is that all Wii games seem to have taken on the annoying PS2 convention of having white spines, with the game name in the same boring font down the side. I never read the names on the side of my GC games, I just grab the one with the right coloured spine when I want to play it. Looks shit too. Anyway, that's probably mroe to do with Nintendo than than the actual boxes obviously. Probably requested that all publishers make their boxes look boring. Although... Now that I look at it, NiGHTS seems to have the actual logo on the spine. Bravo! Still got a rubbish white background though.

I may pay too much attention to boxes...

There are two different kinds that seem to be interchanged randomly. The ones that don't let you pull the edge of the disc up are better.

I noticed that the UK version of Lost Odyssey comes in a normal size case (3 discs on the spindle and one in a wallet), which is cheap because my Asian version came in a double thickness one with individual slots for each disc. The cover is printed on slightly shiny textured paper as well, although you can barely tell under the plastic sleeve.

Blue Dragon was the same I think, but only had 3 discs. They were all on the same spindle but the top one NEVER stayed on.

Bad Microsoft UK.

But, just yesterday I bought a 64 disc CD book thing. It filled up worryingly fast.

Sounds like you need an 80's montage makeover!

Is Lost Odyssey any good for someone who has little interest in JRPGs?

Did you not see the videoGaiden review? It's good if you like JRPGs that aren't shit apparently, so I'm thinking I might enjoy it a bit... Don't like the sound of the silly turn-based combat though. The main reason I like Grandia and Chrono Trigger is because they don't have the shitty generic combat system...

The combat's nothing special but it does proceed at a decent pace which helps a lot. The random battle encounter rate is spot-on.

If you don't like the structure of JRPGs I wouldn't bother.

If you don't like the rubbish characters in JRPGs, it's a winner.

If anyone's looking to buy it fairly soon, bear in mind that Blue Dragon absolutely bombed in price very quickly.

I remember years ago getting up on a staurday morning hoping that my sisters wern't watching the TV because it always ended up with them watching the top 30 music charts to listen to the new spice girls or boyzone song.
I absolutly hated that, what a fucking waste of a TV to use it to isten to music.
I always wished they would just fuck off and listen to it on a radio and let me use the TV.

My ex thought she was pregnant. Thankfully she's not, but that was the... 4th pregnancy scare I've had, with two girls. Jesus, I'm crazy.

I got new speakers:

It's crazy loud, and the the subwoofer is mighty. They're really magnificent stereo speakers. Got them connected to the PC and 360. I had to modify the 360 component cable slightly so it would fit in with the HDMI cable at the same time. Then just plugged the L & R RCA whatever shizzle audio leads in.

Works fine except plugging two sources in seems to halve the volume the thing is capable of, and I have to remember to mute the tele otherwise all the sound is out of sync, which leaves an annoying and gay symbol.

Choosing an appropriate song to test the bass (Do It Again, Chemical Brothers), exposed me as the wimp I am. I didn't dare put it on full, it's like a fucking earthquake.
