It's a tepid release list this week. Amongst the legions of port-athons and cartoon licenses (I can just tell from the platforms they're on, I've never heard of any of them), there are only a few things worth considering and none of us will probably buy any of them. And on that note let's dwell on them!

EA wants you to buy Army of Two a third person shooter which focuses on co-operation. Co-op shooting is good, Gears of War proved that. But Gears of War was good despite its rubbish setting and because of its cliché-laden dialogue. Army of Two has an even more uninspired setting, and seems to want us to laugh with it rather than at it. I'm only interested in another co-op shooter if it pushes the boundaries in a subtler way to Army of Two's ultra-contrived co-operation. So I'm predicting average reviews (6s and 7s), but mammoth sales to boring people.

Koei wants you to buy Dynasty Warriors 6. I've never played a Dynasty Warriors game, but I've always meant to try one because some people really are fanatical about them. If I wasn't trying to cut down on my spending on games, I might easily have bought this this week.

An interesting one this week is A-TrainHX, a very unlikely PAL release of a Japanese train and urban development sim. If it's very cheap which I would hope it is, it could be something worth looking at for a change of scenery. As long as you're open-minded enough to put up with your 360 producing graphics that wouldn't look out of place in a 1994 3D flight simulator prototype for Windows 3.1.

If you believed the hype and still consider Bully a viable game for spending money on, there are new 360 and Wii versions of it. Doesn't look like they felt the need to rename it for Europe this time.

There's also a new Destroy all Humans game exclusive to the Wii, but judging by the complete absence of any coverage whatsoever in any of the press that reaches my brain, I think it's fair to assume that it's either shite or aimed at your Mum at this stage.
